Sean Gelael again finished the F2 race without points for three consecutive races. This is after he only finished 12th in the Austrian sprint race.
After only finishing 17th place in the feature race the day before, Sean was also a big hope to be able to make a surprise at the sprint race at the Red Bull Ring circuit, Spielberg, Sunday (06/30/2019) night WIB.
Because the speed of Sean in the feature race is fairly good before the tire degradation makes it sag far. Prema Racing rider even had time to lead the race for 15 laps.
But, the sprint race was not as expected because Sean found it difficult to perform optimally so he finished in 12th place with 39 minutes 05,177 seconds. He was at odds with almost 20 seconds with Sergio Sette Camara becoming the champion.
While his teammate, Mick Schumacher, who made a good start was able to finish the race in fourth position and was entitled to eight points. As a result, Mick is now in 13th place with 22 points.
Sean, who failed to win points in the last six races (three series of Monaco, France and Austria) still stuck in 16th place with 11 points. The next race is at Silverstone, England, July 13-14.
With this two-week gap, Sean hopes to find the best modifications for his car so that he can finish the fast points as soon as possible.
"Unlike the previous day, today our car is competitive and that's good. Only, my car was slightly damaged due to contact with other riders and I survived the condition until finishing," Sean said in a release to detikport.
"Luckily there is a vacation, so I can use it to find the best settings in my car so that I can get points in the UK later," he continued.
