Super Junior Holds First Concert in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has quite large K-Pop fans. And for the first time, there will be a K-Pop concert in Jeddah.

Super Junior will be the first K-Pop group to hold a concert in Jeddah. The 'Super Show 7s' concert will be held at King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah on July 12.

Not only that, Super Junior will also perform at the Jeddah Season Festival the day after. The festival was held for 41 days, which will also be entertained by a number of top musicians in Saudi Arabia.

"Bilateral relations between South Korea and Saudi Arabia are getting closer after the Arab Prince visited Seoul some time ago. The concert which will be held in the next few days will strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries," said Super Junior, quoted by Allkpop.

Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm of K-Pop fans in Saudi Arabia, Super Junior's concert tickets were used up in just a few hours. In fact, the ticket sales site was error because too many people tried to access it at the same time.

"What are you doing on our site?" promoter comments via Twitter.

Previously, a rapper with a sexy image, Nicki Minaj, was also said to be performing in Saudi Arabia. He will be present at a cultural festival, this month.

"He (Nicki Minaj) will be active on social media, he will upload directly from the stage in Jeddah and at his hotel in Jeddah," said Robert Quirke, organizer of the event, quoted from the Arab News Daily.

Nicki Minaj is not the only guest from outside Saudi Arabia. On the same program there were Liam Payne and Steve Aoki.

Later, the entertainment business in Saudi Arabia was quite loose. That was a result of the encouragement of Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In addition to music concerts, sporting events to cinemas also opened in the country.
