The deadly duo of Andy Murray and Serena Williams continued to fly on Wimbledon's main pitch, London, England, as they halted their opponents in the second round on Tuesday 9 July for mixed doubles.
Murena is the couple's nickname chosen by Williams. They played dominantly against French-Americans, Fabrice Martin and Raquel Atawo, and won 7-5, 6-3.
Williams only had a short time to prepare for Wimbledon because of an injury. He got more time playing in mixed doubles after collaborating with local heroes, Murray.
Williams had already confirmed qualifying for the women's singles semifinals after winning three thrilling sets in the fight of his fellow American, with Alison Riske, the day before and now he is back to winning the other number with the Scot.
In the mixed doubles match, Williams showed his class as a world tennis player and closed the third set point with his deadly forehand.
While Murray had to hold several break points in the second set, before Serena Williams again became the center of attention with deadly blows directed from the baseline and closed the match with a score of 6-3.
